Moving on to today. 

Wedding planning.  Now that’s fun!  Invites are about ready to go out, finally found a dress for my mom.  She was really picky being mother of the bride.  I was more worried about how the dress fit her so that she could easily walk and move about which has not been very good since her last hip surgery.  But we found one, it looks beautiful on her.  Bridesmaids dresses are done, mens wear, done.  Reception in a park at the end of June!  Lets hope we don’t all faint due to heat!

I’ve been decorating a lot of cakes lately, birthdays, confirmations and of course a wedding cake coming up.

Guess how much weight I have lost. Can you guess???

I am beyond frustrated!

I start a boxing basics class tomorrow, at least that should be fun.

Love is a feeling you get inside, a happiness, a contentment, a want to be better for someone else, a genuine caring and concern for anothers contentment and happiness.

Love is not a lot of work.  Relationships are… Sometimes.

I am in LOVE.

I can’t believe it happened so soon after I found out about my divorce, and I certainly never thought it would happen again.. at all.  Amazingly enough, through chance or maybe divine intervention I met someone.  He is absolutely incredible!  A complete 180 of what I am used too, which by the way is very refreshing.  I don’t have to watch what I say, do, don’t do, act, clean, get groceries, drive, wear, how or when I put MY money in the bank, how I parent, or when or how I work for him.

He completely accepts me for who I AM.  It has been a couple of months now, and I thought for sure! that we would run out of things to talk about, instead, I had to get a new cell phone, you know one of those with unlimited talk, text, and web for dirt cheap?! Yeah, that kind!  We talk constantly, openly, and honestly.  He is polite, not rude (I think those are two seperate things by the way) charming, caring, thoughtful, devoted to his children, humorous, very handsome in my opinion, outgoing, gentle, and he accepts me for who I am. (did I already mention that?)  I can’t help it. )

You know that feeling you get? Yeah, the gushy one.  The one you had when you were a teenager in love? I’m there!  I turn the big 4-0 in just a few days, but feel 16 all over again.

So Thank YOU! my Clyde.  For all the that you give me.  Your love, your heart, and yourself.

My pilot

This is Chris.

My 19 year old son.

I love him to pieces!

He is home for the summer from college, which by the way, I love.  He has been working at an airport since he was 14.  This year, his boss, took over the FBO (Fixed Based Operator) portion of another airport and my son started working there.  It is a shorter commute for him, 35 minutes instead of 50, so that is nice, but this year he has two jobs!

HE JUST GOT HIRED TO CO-PILOT FOR A CHARTER SERVICE!!!!

This has definately been a dream come true for all of us, and we KNOW how lucky he is to be given such an awesome opportunity at such a young age.  Lets face it, there are a lot of pilots out there trying to get hours so that they can land a good job.  Not an easy task let me tell ya!  He had an incredible year his first year of college receiving and moving up in the aviation program that he is enrolled in, including his commercial multi-engine  certificate which is what is helping him move up the chain so fast. 

This is huge.  Really huge for him.  He will be learning, training, and working out of an international airport for a charter service, which has a contract with a place that goes to the airport that he uses at school, conincidental huh!  An act of God I say! 

So needless to say I am so incredibly proud of him and thankful to all of the people who have helped him get this far.  His future is certainly bright!!

There are also some other things going on in my life right now, that had me question the entire grandma thing altogether, so, I did the only thing I knew to do, and left it up to my step-daughter, she decided, I am a grandma.  and ya know, the more I think about it, the more I love it.

Over the Memorial Day holiday weekend I had the opportunity to drive down to South Carolina to see my very very pregnant and beautiful step-daughter.  It took way longer than I was thinking and I was bone tired when I got there.  But it was really nice to be able to see her, her husband Seth, their house, the area and all the other things that she has been telling me about since they moved there.

We unpacked my car which was full of baby stuff, crib, changing table, rocking chair ect. and headed off to the outlet mall and the Atlanta Bread Company for lunch.

It was really nice to be able to spend some time with her and buy a couple baby things.

After I left and headed back home, I made a pit stop in Pigeon Forge, which is a total tourist trap, but one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen.  It looks like a ball!  I am hoping that someday in the future, if things pan out, I will be able to go back there and spend some time since all I did this trip was a quick drive through.

What a beautiful trip!  I loved going through the smokie mountains, they are absolutely breath taking!

The babys room is now set up, and gorgeous, she should change her major from elementary education to interior designer, my poor step-daughter is stressed out and miserable because she is huge and been having contractions for a couple weeks now.

I know, 99.9 percent of you think that this is incredibly stupid, and if life were normal for me, I would certainly agree. However, life and normal haven’t exactly been friends for me lately.

You see, I have had to re-define what normal is for me. Running out and buying a hammer certainly would have been not only normal, but a mundane chore when life was “normal”.

Did you know how many different types and weights of hammers are actually out there?! It was almost overwhelming, but I did it! I found a cheap, quality, lightweight hammer that will work well for me.

If, and I do say IF, I actually finish the project that I needed the hammer for, I will post a pic. Finishing something I actually started is just as hard lately as making a stinkin decision!

I’m gonna go for it though, wish me luck!
